Joe Haward


Rev Joe Haward is an author, poet, and heretic.


Born into an Indian family, Joe was adopted with his identical twin brother and grew up transracial in the UK.


As an ordained Reverend, Joe Haward calls out injustice and hypocrisy within the church institution, refusing to be silent, whatever the cost. 


Alongside two published nonfiction books (The Ghost of Perfection and Be Afraid), he works as a freelance journalist challenging political, societal, and religious corruption, with articles regularly featured in the national news site, Byline TimesJoe is also a regular guest and contributor for BBC Radio Devon.


His work can be found in various publications, where he writes horror, noir, dark fantasy, and transgressive fiction. He is the winner of The Prize for Short Story Telling 2021, and his poetry has also been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. Joe is a member of the Independent Fiction Alliance.


Joe Haward is the in-house poetry reviewer for Cinnabar Moth Publishing, and a book and movie reviewer, with regular articles on Horror DNA. Joe is also the host for the Aesthetic Press YouTube Channel where he interviews authors about their latest books.

His poetry collection, Heresy, (Uncle B. Publications) will drop in 2022, and his horror anthology, Breath and Blasphemy (Cinnabar Moth Publishing) will be released in 2023.
